Sujoy Banerjee

In an illustrious career spanning 19 years, Banerjee has held HR portfolios in organizations like TELCO, Dunlop India Limited, ICI India Limited, STP Limited, Philips India Limited, BOC India Limited, Web Development Company Limited, Organon India Limited.
He is a member of several industry bodies- the CII-ER Sub-committee on HR, Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Sub-committee on HR. Also he is the visiting faculty at IBS, Kolkata and a member of interview panels of various business schools for admissions into post graduate programmes.
A sports aficionado who was a University Blue (Jadavpur University) in Cricket (1984 – 88) and represented School (Don Bosco, Kolkata) in Cricket & Football. He has also played First Division CAB League Cricket in Calcutta and represented Bengal in Under – 15 Cricket tournament, participated in Merchants Cup Cricket & Soccer. He has also taken active interest in drama, public speaking and city Rotaract Movements.
Banerjee is a diploma holder in personnel management from XISS, Ranchi and a graduate in Political Science from Jadavpur University. He is an alumni of Don Bosco Kolkata.

Sourav Daspatnaik

Mr.Sourav Daspatnaik is the Director (HRD & Strategy) Apeejay Surrendra Group and also CEO for the latest Greenfield shipbuilding projects- Bengal Shipyard Limited and Oceanic Shipyard Limited being set up in the states of Orissa and West Bengal.
As a key member of the Group, Mr Daspatnaik has been instrumental in setting up the new businesses of Logistics Park with two green field projects at Kalinganagar(Orissa) and Haldia(West Bengak) As a part of the Group Management Committee he provides strategic planning, governance, human Resources Management and investment guidelines to the different Group Companies. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of technology, Mesra, Ranchi and Master of Science (M.S) from Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. He has authored several research papers in the journal of the NHRD Network, Institution of Engineers and AIMA Management Review.
Prior to joining Apeejay Surrendra, Sourav Daspatnaik was the Director at Mercer Human Resource Consulting, India. In his career of 23 years, Mr. Daspatnaik has worked with TELCO (Tata Motors), TISCO (Tata Iron & Steel Company Ltd), and Ispat Group and has experience spanning Production Planning and Scheduling, Manufacturing & Design, Product development, Marketing and Sales and consulting in the area of Human Resource Management.

Ms Suchitra Guha

An authority on Human Resources & Industrial Relations. and trained in Strategic HR from London Business School, Ms Guha joined Tata Steel as Management trainee following a Personnel Management degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Ms. Guha has been associated with Tata Steel for the last 32 years and currently heads the Human Resource department. She represents her company in a number of industry bodies, Confederation of Indian Industry, Indian Chamber of Commerce, Bengal Chamber of Commerce, National HRD Network and National Institute of Personnel Management.

Bhaskar Das
Independent Consultant
Bhaskar Das, an alumnus of XLRI’s 89 batch, has extensive experience in human resources management, organization development of total quality management (TQM). He has worked with reputable companies, both in India and abroad.
He started his career with TVS Whirlpool and worked with organizations like Eicher, Inchcape Plc, ICI, Sutherland Technologies and Cognizant.
In his last role at Cognizant, Bhaskar was responsible for the human relations function catering to all the HR aspects. Prior to joining Cognizant, Bhaskar was responsible for starting Sutherland’s BPO Operations in India.
He is qualified Lead Assessor for ISO, an accredited interpreter of several aptitude and psychometric instruments, and a fellow and faculty of Sumedhas—the Academy of Human Context.
His current professional interests include organizational psychology and career management. He has guided many high performing managers in designing meaningful careers.
Currently Bhaskar is working as an independent Consultant.

Janet Gasper Chowdhury

Janet Gasper-Chowdhury is a Managing Consultant with PwC India. With 14 years of experience in HR and Finance she has spent 10 of those years with PwC in HR Consulting. Her recent work includes HR strategy and performance improvement consulting for the Government, Public Sector Enterprises as well as Private sectors. She has partnered organizations in various sectors - Defense & Aeronautics, Power, Oil & Gas, Fertilizers / Chemicals / Pharmaceuticals, Banking & Financial sector, FMCG, IT, Manufacturing / Engineering / Steel sectors.
Her focus area of work is Talent Management including Assessment Centres, Organization Design, Performance Management and Change Management. She also has wide experience in Compensation & Benefits advising overseas companies while deciding compensation strategy for their India operations. She has led engagements in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Middle East and advised clients based in the US, UK & Europe as well.
Janet holds an Accreditation from the Saratoga Institute (a part of PwC) which focuses on HR Benchmarking. Prior to PwC she has worked with ABN Amro Bank and Nestle.

Born , brought up & educated at Rourkela in Orissa , Abhijit went on to complete his PGDPM&IR from XISS , Ranchi in 1992 – 94 and joined Electrosteel Castings Ltd. as a Trainee Personnel Officer in 1994 . Abhijit has over 15 years of experience in IR & HR in Manufacturing , FMCG , Sales & Distribution in companies like Pepsico India , Dabur India & Eureka Forbes .
Abhijit likes to devote his time to Social initiatives by working with economically and socially backward tribal villages in rural Bengal through an NGO where he is also a trustee. His other interests are travelling , photography , reading books and listening to music .

A Science Graduate from Andhra University , Rau completed his BHRM from NMIMS , Mumbai & PGDHRM from Pondicherry University and MBA in HR from Madras University concurrently in 1999.

Rajib Kumar

As Chief Executive of Material World Group since 2002, a consulting and training service he co founded with a colleague in August 2000, has steered the group to highest levels of professional excellence. Alongwith his team, regularly consults and trains executives of multinational companies, private Indian and government officials.
Prior to founding Material World Rajib has worked with a leading automobile brand in India as spare parts manager; a Boston based Public Interest Research Group and an Ohio College newspaper among others.
He is a Fellow, Center for Research in Materials Management, a research center set up jointly under IISWBM, India^s first B School & Indian Institute of Materials Management and Indian Institute of Materials Management. His fellowship thesis (pre-doctoral) was externally passed by the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur without changes. He also has postgraduate degrees in Business Management as well as Materials Management.
He is on the faculty panel of several management institutes and guides MBA students in their final year HRD & Marketing projects, writes papers on Management, social and current affairs and edits e-zine of the Material World Group “Offline”. He is a prolific blogger. Rajib has published 4 papers to his credit till date.
