Mr.Sourav Daspatnaik is the Ex-Director (HRD & Strategy) and also CEO for the latest Greenfield shipbuilding projects- Bengal Shipyard Limited and Oceanic Shipyard Limited being set up in the states of Orissa and West Bengal.

As a key member of the Group, Mr Daspatnaik has been instrumental in setting up the new businesses of Logistics Park with two green field projects at Kalinganagar(Orissa) and Haldia(West Bengak) As a part of the Group Management Committee he provides strategic planning, governance, human Resources Management and investment guidelines to the different Group Companies. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of technology, Mesra, Ranchi and Master of Science (M.S) from Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. He has authored several research papers in the journal of the NHRD Network, Institution of Engineers and AIMA Management Review.

Prior to joining Apeejay Surrendra, Sourav Daspatnaik was the Director at Mercer Human Resource Consulting, India. In his career of 23 years, Mr. Daspatnaik has worked with TELCO (Tata Motors), TISCO (Tata Iron & Steel Company Ltd), and Ispat Group and has experience spanning Production Planning and Scheduling, Manufacturing & Design, Product development, Marketing and Sales and consulting in the area of Human Resource Management.

Indranil Banerjee

Indranil Banerjee holds MBA and B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry. He is currently working as Senior Manager (HR & Admn.) in WBSEDCL, Kolkata with the role of Zonal Head - HR & Administration of the Govt. Utility Company. After completion of MBA from L N Mishra College of Business Management he joined the Utility organization as Management Trainee and during his long 19 years of career, he had played many vital roles across the value chain.

He is Life Member of professional bodies like National HRD Network (also an elected member of National Executive Board) and ISTD. He has around 50 nos. published articles on HR, IR and General Management issues in leading national level management journals and magazines including Journal of “Delhi School of Economics” and “Steel Authority of India”. He has also contributed Topic & Chapters in Text and Derivative books on Management. One of his articles featured as “Best 10 of the decade” in the 10^th Anniversary issue of the Business Manager. He has successfully submitted Paper in the conference jointly conducted by International School of Management Excellence and Quality Council of India.

He has recently undergone Company sponsored two week long Advanced Leadership Development Program from IIM – Kolkata. Earlier he had a short stint at XLRI - Jamshedpur as a participant for one MDP on “HR as Strategic Business Partner”.

A Scorpion, expressive of his thought, likes to work for Student community, provided inputs to the redesigning of the courseware of MBA (HRM) Burdwan University. Also he is in the Interview Board of one of the leading national repute Management College. Building a one stop repository for the HR community is his dream.

Sanjay S Maitra

Sanjay S Maitra is an alumni of XLRI ( Batch 1967 - 1969 ) and in the last forty years he had an interesting journey in the professional world comprising of various industries, different places and varied challenges in the field of HR. Most of his associations during this long innings were with the reputed MNCs.

Perhaps, he is one of those few, who have really seen and experienced the major changes happening in the field of HR.

His last position was with Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., as Sr. General Manager - Plant HR & ADMN.

Now sanjay is playing a different role as the HR Consultant of an upcoming Indian Business House on part time basis apart from sharing his experience, skill, competencies and wisdom with MBA students in some of the Mgmt. Institutes in the state and also in the neighbouring states from time to time.

He continues to be a humble but passionate HR professional.

Mr.R.P Yadav is a B.Sc from Calcutta University; MBA (Marketing) from IISWBM, Kolkata and MIMA, Lead Auditor for ISO-9001:2000 from London, IRCA. He has a vast experience of 16 years in reputed Companies like Johnson and Johnson, Jai Engineering Limited, HCL, Business Forms Limited. He has handled portfolios for Sales & Marketing and has been positioned as General Manager & Profit Centre Head in these companies.

Mr.Yadav has founded M/s Genius Consultants Limited in the year 1993. Today Genius has 18 offices all over India with 5 products line, 20000 Outsourced Associates, 55000 Placements and a projected turnover of 250 Crores for the financial year 2010- 11 on a pan India basis.
