Welcome to the National Human Resource Development Network Kolkata Chapter! The National HRD Network (http://www.nationalhrd.org) is an association of professionals committed to promoting the HRD movement in the country and strengthening the capability of human resource professionals, through education, training, research and experience sharing thereby creating value for society.

HISTORY
National Chapter

A few proactive and strong willed HR professionals came together to lend their collective strength to augment the quality of HR practitioners in the country. This was in the early 80s. As a result the National Human Resource Development Network was formed in 1985.Signatories to the MoA included Dr.T V Rao, Fr.E Abraham, Dr.K K Verma, Dr.Anil Khandelwal, Dr.D M Pestonjee, Mr.G K Ghosh, Dr.Kakoli Saha and Mr. J K Parikh. The Network was registered as a Society and a Trust on December 6, 1986 at Ahmedabad.

Kolkata Chapter

On December 22, 1989, the chapter held its general body meeting and elected Mr MG Gupta, additional chief personnel manager of SAIL as the chapter president. Among those present were MRR Nair and Fr E Abraham. Mr Nair addressed the meeting on future of NHRD.
